The economic environment affects corporate life in all its sides and also affects how companies demonstrate to their customers. The stands, the instruments used by companies to perform at fairs all over the world are influenced by it, as well as new technologies and the growing social demand towards sustainability. Can we imagine, in this situation, how is the stand of the future? Publiverd experts, one of the leading companies in Spain in the marketing consulting and design exhibition stands, offer their view on the matter.
Josep Bononad, Area Director Publiverd stands, and Xavier Martinez, Marketing Director, say that the space between the speaker and the client will remain the most important in the design of the stands. As well as image: “great pictures, good lighting and be open”, explained, "are the keys of the best stands for the times ahead".
The designer Jordi Casas predicts that the stands of the future will use new technologies effectively. "Within a few years," he says, "prints projections are replaced by giant, high resolution 3D displays, touch screens and downloadable audio voiceovers." The introduction of new technologies will not end here, visitors are given a tour of the stands can be downloaded to their mobile phone applications, technical papers and catalogs, via wifi or bluetooth connections.
The stand, continues Casas, will have its own Facebook and Twitter, and for those who can’t go to the fair, there will be virtual tours and online service directly. "Nowadays these are not low-cost technologies, but in the near future they will be available to all and the revolution will be unstoppable," he explains.
Another of the key issues that the design of a stand will have to take care of is environmental sustainability. Paper, for example, is replaced by digital documents and materials should be recycled and recyclable. The paintings may not be toxic or aggressive nature and the woods are replaced by sustainable materials, such as an eco-superporexpan.
Mar Bertran, Publiverd Creative Director, also believes that stands advance in the coming years towards a change of style. On the one hand, will leave behind more and more modern plastics and cold lights and tend to use the finest materials that allow a warmer light that will create pleasant spaces. "Given the current economic situation and knowing that there will be for years," he continues, "the stand of the future must also have a quality-adjusted price." This will result, according to Bertram, the search for new solutions concerning the materials and the stands must have "a higher dose of creativity to combine the spectacular images and the price."
Cristina Haro, stands designer, says that the key will be how to translate the design needs of customers, the way you imagine the space that represents your company and how they work and communicate. "You must realize the expected space, one which is able to attract attention, to represent the brand image, and all using creativity, innovation of forms and materials."
Businesses should bet heavily on advertising and marketing to make the best position on the nascent economic recovery. "Our job", Bertran says, "is to make that the investment of each client boost his business and make it stand out above the other both visually and by image quality."
